Dexcomm has a long history in the answering and communications industry with its roots going as far back as 1954. Since that time, it has grown to become a leader in both technology and award-winning customer service.
In 1989, Jamey Hopper purchased the Telephone Answering Bureau which was founded in 1954. Prior to that, Jamey spent time working in both the financial and health care industries as a commercial loan officer and a medical office manager. His experience working in these fields helped to prepare him for his role as president of what would one day become Dexcomm.

At the time of its purchase, Dexcomm handled a variety of clients, ranging from trucking lines, computer companies and health care facilities. But as they began to grow, so did their client base.
The company’s continued growth and the need to customize a facility that could accommodate the many changes in technology sparked Dexcomm’s move to its current location off of I-49 in Carencro, LA.
While many answering service providers failed to keep up with changing times, Dexcomm
embraced them, and invested heavily in technological advancements.
Additionally, Jamey created a multi-layer backup system and redundant contingency plans to ensure that Dexcomm was protected and prepared in the event of an emergency. These actions paid off in 2005 when several hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast, shutting down most of the southern part of the state in the process. Dexcomm remained fully operational throughout the storms and was committed to providing dependable, quality service to their customers.
Equipped with a super fuel tank, generators, dedicated on-site server rooms and on and complete fully-redundant, real-time off-site back up systems, Dexcomm is always open for business. In fact, they are one of the only service providers in the country that provide complete off-site backup systems.
Dexcomm is committed to helping people by providing quality service. Our stringent training programs, investment in technology and readiness for any and all challenges is part of our mission, culture and history.
