How Coaching Can Benefit You and Your Company

Coaching can become one of the most effective strategies for maximizing the potential of every employee at your business. At Dexcomm, we feel as though it is one of our "secret keys" to our success. All of our employees are encouraged to enter a coaching relationship with someone who is not their direct superior. We feel that it helps to solidify an employee’s goals and values, which in turn helps them to become more focused and motivated.

Dexcomm adopted the coaching model in 2013 to help our employees with personal growth and development. Since then, the program has grown to include all of our management staff as well as any other employee who is interested in coaching. Each and every Dexcomm coach has gone through training to become successful in this role. Before their first session, they are trained in-house by a coaching consultant. From then on, coaches have quarterly continuing education.

If your business sees a need to accelerate results or if there is a lack of clarity around decision-making, coaching may help bridge the gap. Another good reason to incorporate coaching into your business strategy is if you have seen unmanageable growth and success has started to become problematic.

The goal should be for the coachee to work towards achieving a specific personal or professional goal. Coaching considers the human element, first and foremost. Coaches are supposed to guide their coachees by asking analytical questions and flipping the script back on them. This can be a powerful tool. Coaching takes the whole person into consideration and helps them to grow and challenge themselves.
